Naomi Austin is an incoming second year law student at the University of Calgary, and will be graduating in 2023. Prior to her legal studies, Naomi completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Calgary in 2020.
Naomi previously worked in several research roles for the University of Calgary Psychology department, as well as for a local non-profit. During her 1L year at UCalgary Law, Naomi volunteered as a caseworker with Student Legal Assistance where she represented low-income Calgarians in Provincial Court. Naomi also developed a police compliant memo in service of the Indigenous Legal Education Project for Pro Bono Students Canada.
Naomi joined Donna Purcell QC Law in May 2021 in collaboration with the UCalgary Law Legal Innovation Internship. This program is a summer internship for law students to learn about legal innovation using business analytics, technology, and research.
Outside of her legal career, Naomi enjoys cooking and baking, skiing in Colorado, and going on picnics with her friends and family.
