Ryley Bauer

A University of Alberta business graduate in Management of Information Systems, Ryley Bauer has spent over a decade at the forefront of business process automation and digital transformation. Now, as Chief Automation Officer at Donna Purcell QC Law, Ryley leads the firm’s mission of leveraging cutting-edge technology to deliver efficient, client-focused legal services. He works closely with the legal team to streamline processes, bolster cybersecurity, and implement innovative solutions that enhance productivity and client experience.

As the founder of Bauer Automate, a consulting firm specializing in Microsoft 365 and Power Platform solutions, Ryley has led numerous automation projects for law firms, government agencies, and businesses across various industries spanning the globe. As a Microsoft Certified Trainer, he is widely recognized as an expert in Microsoft’s Power Platform—having earned every available Power Platform certification, a feat achieved by only a few dozen MCT’s worldwide and is consistently ranked among the top 10 MCTs globally in the Power Platform field. In recognition of his innovative approach to process improvement, Ryley (and Bauer Automate) was honored as “Global Business Automation Specialists of the Year”  two years in a row.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Ryley is passionate about teaching others and frequently mentors technology enthusiasts through community workshops and user groups, including leading the Calgary Power Platform User Group. He’s also an avid musician who plays guitar and drums, and is known to fuel his creativity with a Dr. Pepper Slurpee – a fun testament to the energy and enthusiasm he brings to every project.
