National Truth & Reconciliation Day

Orange Shirt Day

This National Day for Truth & Reconciliation we encourage everyone to participate in the reconciliation process by listening and learning from our Indigenous community. Please open your minds and hearts and take the time to really understand and reflect with survivors. Today is a day for Canadians of all stripes to reflect upon the tragedy of residential schools and the lingering effects that they continue to have on our Indigenous community.

At Donna Purcell QC Law, we are proud to work with our indigenous clients and allies. One of our biggest values as a firm is the promotion of diversity that allows anyone to reach their full potential. We recognize and honor the children, survivors and those affected by Canada’s residential school system, and how the legacy of residential schools continues to hinder the ability for Indigenous peoples to realize their full potential. We are committed to working with Indigenous peoples in advancing their cultural, economic, legal, technological and other interests.

We further encourage everyone to research and donate to the Indian Residential School Survivors Society.
