Alternative Dispute Resolution
The court system can be costly, time consuming, and complicated. We have successfully resolved our clients’ legal problems through mediation, arbitration, and negotiation.
Mediation has a good track record for cost effectively resolving disputes in a timely manner. Mediation is particularly useful when the parties to a dispute have an interest in preserving or rehabilitating a relationship which could be or has been damaged by the conflict (eg. contractual, estate, partnership, employment, organizational, or institutional disputes).
Interest-Based Mediation is a process in which the parties to the dispute, with the assistance of the Mediator, define the issues, explore the source of the conflict as well as the interests behind their “positions”, and develop a mutually satisfactory solution that is future focused.
Arbitration is another form of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and a further way to resolve disputes outside the courts. The dispute is decided by one or more arbitrators.
